Unpack your meals and place them in your refrigerator. Then contemplate which one you’ll dig into first. Meals can be placed into the freezer if you don’t plan on eating them before your next delivery, but note that the texture of some ingredients may be affected.
Please leave your thermal bag outside in your mailbox, in front of your door, or on your front porch on the day of your next delivery. We reuse thermal bags on a weekly basis to minimize waste. Thermal bags are tracked and a small fee may be applied if your bag is not left outside for an extended period of time following its drop off. During the summer months, deliveries will include ice packs that must also be returned with the thermal bags each week.
Every Upbeet meal is expertly prepared by professional chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Our meals are inspired by many cultures and feature a variety of beans, vegetables, grains, nuts, herbs, and spices. Our chefs always craft the perfect balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat with limited portions of sugar and salt.
At Upbeet, we always try to push the boundaries and end myths surrounding plant based food. That’s why our menu includes items like meatless meatballs, lentil shepherd’s pie, and creamy cashew mac n’ cheese. Our meals are healthy, sustainable alternatives that satisfy all your cravings (and then some). Plus, our menu rotates so you won’t see the same meal twice in two months.
All meals that need to be reheated come in a recyclable, BPA-free, microwave safe container and are labeled “Hot Meal”. Since our meals arrive fully cooked, they only need to be heated in the microwave for about 2 minutes. For those who prefer to heat their meals in the oven, we suggest approximately 300 – 350°C for no more than 5 – 10 minutes. Make sure to remove your meal from its container if you are using the oven to reheat.
For best flavour and texture, we recommend refrigerating your meals. However, you can certainly freeze them if you don’t plan on eating them within 4-5 days. Please note the texture of some ingredients may be altered in the freezing process. Some meals are more freezer friendly than others, such as our Eggplant Lasagna or Lentil Shepherd’s Pie. We do not suggest freezing leafy salads or bowls.
Once you’ve enjoyed your tasty meal, rinse your container and recycle or reuse. Our meal containers are great for leftovers and personal use!
We recommend eating fresh meals by the end of the third day after delivery. However, most dishes last until the fifth day. If you receive a delivery on Monday, your meals will remain fresh for eating on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Your next delivery on Thursday would then provide you with fresh meals for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Feel free to store your meals for a fifth day at your own discretion.
Each Upbeet meal represents one portion and is sized for one person. Our clients often tell us that the portion sizes are perfect for one meal. If you’re still unsure, try our 3 Meal Trial Plan and get a taste for what we offer!
We always allow our customers to inform us of any food allergies or preferences they may have. This information is logged into the Taste Preferences section of your Account Settings. Once submitted, we use this information to automatically select meals that best suit your preferences. Please make sure that your Taste Preferences and Allergies are as detailed as possible for best results.
However, at this time we are unable to completely customize meals for preference or allergy. We can confirm that our meals are 100% plant based, gluten-free, and dairy-free.
Yes! Simply press “View Details” for your chosen meal and the nutritional information will be listed there. Please note that all nutritional information is estimated. If the meal is brand new to our menu, please allow us 2 weeks to update the nutritional information.
Since many people who follow a plant-based diet enjoy soy as a protein source, some of our meals do contain soy. However, we have several soy-free options for our customers who have soy allergies or preferences! Plus, our tofu is 100% non-GMO and organic.
Definitely! Many of our customers are flexitarians and enjoy our meals weekly for their healthy, plant-based food fix. Since our menu is multi-cultural, the flavours are eclectic and designed for many different palettes. Check out our Live Menu to see the upcoming meals for this week!
If you’re looking for a little extra bite in between Upbeet meals, here are a few delicious plant-based snack suggestions:
- Nuts, raw and unsalted (portion size: ¼ cup)
- A piece of fruit
- Cut veggies with 2 tbsp of hummus
- 1 tbsp of nut butter with celery, apples, pears
- Half serving of a smoothie
If you’d like to add a little something extra to your Upbeet meals, you have a world of options! Your best bet: stay away from sugar and high fructose corn syrup. That means ketchup, BBQ sauce, and other sugary sauces should be avoided! Instead, go for these healthier seasonings:
- Pinch of sea salt, ground pepper, or garlic salt
- Cinnamon and other natural seasonings
- Butter (as long as ingredients are only butter and salt)
- Salsa (no sugar)
- Hot sauce (no sugar)
We have a very diverse customer base, from working professionals, families and busy parents to university students, athletes and nutritionists. Our clients typically don’t have time to prepare healthy, balanced and nutritious meals on a regular basis. Our meal plans help them stay fueled and save time. Most of our customers are not vegan or vegetarian, but want to incorporate more plant based foods into their diets for health and lifestyle reasons.
Our catering customers are equally as diverse, from schools, conferences, and fundraisers to intimate functions and weddings. Most of our catering clients are looking to try something new and nutritious to share with their guests.
Yes! There is a common myth that vegetarian or plant-based diets do not provide enough protein. In reality, a healthy variety of beans, nuts, seeds and grains offer more than enough protein for the human body. These plant based protein sources raise energy levels and help to build and maintain muscle tone. Our meals contain a careful combination of protein-packed ingredients, from nuts and grains to fruits and veggies.
One of our goals at Upbeet Foods is to get you out of the calorie counting mindset. Instead, we encourage our customers to ask themselves, “What is healthy for me?” If your focus is on eating clean and plant-based meals, your body will feel naturally satisfied and return to the weight that is healthy for you. This may mean losing weight, staying the same, or in some cases gaining weight. Since our meals contain all the nutrients you need, you can trust that any notable changes are organic and responsive to what is best for your unique body type.
For those who still choose to be calorie conscious, our average lunch or dinner meal ranges from 400 to 600 calories.
Our meals are perfectly safe for kids and equally tasty, too! We have had many customers tell us their kids love eating Upbeet. Depending on the age of your child, you may want to split the meal into smaller portions. As with any dietary modifications, we recommend that you check with your physician or primary health care provider first.

We are proud to say our tofu is now 100% organic and non-GMO! Although our locally sourced, fresh produce and ingredients are majority organic, Upbeet Foods is currently not 100% organic. Most meal delivery services that offer 100% organic and GMO-free products are far too expensive for the average consumer. At Upbeet, we pride ourselves in offering meal plans that are accessible and affordable for a wide variety of people. In doing so, we are simply unable to be 100% organic.

Our extensive menu of plant-based meals grows every week, with new meals added regularly. We currently have over 100 unique meals in our menu catalogue that rotate each week for maximum variety. To make sure your taste buds never get bored, you’ll never see the same meal twice in two months.
We do not require any short or long term commitments. Whether you want Upbeet every week, every other week, or just during those extra busy times, our meal plans are extremely flexible. Although we retain your credit card information, it is securely protected and stored with our payment gateway, Stripe, to make your future orders easier. Plus, you can pause your account or a skip a week of deliveries whenever you’d like!
Upbeet Foods is a subscription based meal delivery service. That means consistently delicious food delivered fresh every week! When you sign up with us, your credit card information is requested and your payments are charged every week at the same time. At the beginning of each week, you can go online and choose your favourite meals to be delivered from our rotating menu. Once your payment is processed, our expert chefs begin preparing your meals, which are then packaged and delivered twice a week (Monday and Thursday). You can pause your subscription or skip a week of deliveries whenever you’d like.
All subscription sign ups, weekly orders, and meal selections must be completed by Friday before midnight for Monday delivery and Monday before midnight for Thursday delivery.
To pause your weekly subscription simply choose the preferred Subscription Status on the Upbeet Subscription Plan page of your Account Settings. If you want to skip a week of deliveries, you can do so on your Account Dashboard. If you want to reactivate your account after pausing or skipping a week, you must do so before Friday at 12pm for Monday delivery and before Tuesday at 12pm for Thursday delivery.
To pause your monthly subscription, switch your Subscription Status to Paused on the Upbeet Subscription Plan page of your Account Settings. If you want to skip a week of your subscription, you can do so on your Account Dashboard. Please note that since monthly subscriptions are paid in advance, you will not be refunded for the skipped week. Instead, that week’s deliveries will arrive the following week.
Please note that the last THREE deliveries of your paused monthly plan will arrive in brown paper bags to ensure that any oustanding thermal bags are returned.
Your account must be placed on pause prior to your weekly scheduled charge. You also have the option to skip a week of your plan, which can be done on your Account Dashboard. The date of your next charge can be found on the Order History page of your Account Settings. We do not provide monetary refunds for subscriptions that are cancelled mid-cycle. At the time of cancellation, Upbeet Foods will complete any remaining deliveries that have already been purchased. Our new menu, which changes each week and often features brand new dishes, is posted on our Live Menu every Sunday by 12pm.
Your order is non-refundable, however if you would like to cancel your subscription plan please contact us at email@example.com and we can assist you.
If you would like to upgrade your subscription to include more meals, go to Account Settings > Upbeet Subscription Plan > Upgrade Plan. You will then have the option to increase the number of meals delivered to you.
Meals are evenly distributed between delivery days for our Weekly and Monthly plans. For example, if you have subscribed to the 20 meal weekly plan you will receive 10 meals on Monday and 10 meals on Thursday. However, with our custom plan customers are able to select EITHER Monday or Thursday deliveries.

If you would like to add any delicious add-on items to your order, you must do so by 11:59 pm on Friday for Monday delivery and before 11:59 pm on Monday for Thursday delivery.

Our goal is to offer convenient, delicious, and high quality meals that don’t break the bank. Each Upbeet meal is valued at $10. However, the total cost of individual meals depends on how many meals are ordered, subscription type, and delivery fees.
Only one card can be used on one transaction. You are not able to split up your payment among different credit cards.
Since we are a subscription service, you will be charged weekly or monthly depending on your meal plan (including the first week you sign up for your subscription). This charge will be processed 5-6 days before the delivery itself and applied to the default credit card listed on your account. If necessary, you can easily add a new credit card in the Payment Information section of your Account Settings.
You will not be charged if:
- You pause your subscription. Payments will continue once you resume your subscription.
- Your credit card is cancelled, expired, or reached its limit.
If there is an issue with your credit card that prevents payments from being processed, we will notify you by email to inform you that the charge was unsuccessful. We will attempt to charge you again 24 hours after our initial email and up to 3 times before canceling your order. As long as you are able to resolve your credit card issue within the time frame given to you in our email, your payment will be processed!
If necessary, you can easily add a new credit card or edit an existing card in the Payment Information section of your Account Settings.
Your credit card information can be found in the Payment Information section of your Account Settings. Simply press Edit next to the card you would like to update. If you have any issues uploading your information, please contact email@example.com.
Your delivery and billing address information can be found in the Delivery/Billing Address section of your Account Settings. Simply press Edit next to the address you would like to update.
In addition, delivery addresses can be customized for certain days of the week. For example, you might like meals delivered to the office on Mondays and your home on Thursdays. You can also change your delivery address for individual situations. For example, if you know you will be at a different address on delivery day. Basically, you have the ability to control where and how we deliver. To submit any specific delivery notes, please go to the Order History page in your Account Settings.
We deliver all across the GTA as well as Mississauga, Oakville, Vaughan, Brampton, and Richmond Hill. Head over to our Delivery page for more information and to see if your location is in our delivery zone!
We deliver every week on Mondays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 8 pm. Timing may vary depending on route changes, traffic, and weather conditions.
When placing your order, you will be able to indicate any particular delivery instructions (i.e. buzzer codes, parking instructions, etc). You can also add delivery notes in the Order History section of your Account Settings. If you need to update your address, please do so before 12pm on Friday for Monday delivery and before 12pm on Tuesday for Thursday delivery. This can be done in the Delivery/Billing Address section of your Account Settings.
Our meals are delivered in reusable thermal bags. For home deliveries, thermal bags will be left at your front door or porch. Meals should be moved to a refrigerator within 3 hours of being delivered. For condo or apartment deliveries, thermal bags will be left with the concierge or, if permitted, at your front door. Please make sure to notify your concierge before the delivery.
Once delivered, your meal containers should be transferred to a refrigerator as soon as possible. Please note that thermal bags are to be left outside your door at your next delivery date for your driver to pick up for reuse and minimized waste.
Before ordering an Upbeet meal plan, please have a discussion with your concierge or building manager to confirm that deliveries are allowed. Some accept deliveries at the concierge desk while others allow for them to be brought up to the recipient’s door. Make sure to clarify before ordering and submit all Delivery Notes in the Order History section of your Account Settings. If the concierge is not present upon arrival or refuses to accept the delivery, we are required to bring the delivery bag up to the recipient's door. If delivery bags go missing due to miscommunication with condo management, Upbeet is not responsible for replacing the stolen product.
Yes! You will need to provide us with your cell phone number, clear parking instructions, and information for entering the building to complete the delivery. Thermal bags will be left with the office receptionist. Please ensure your receptionist is aware of the delivery beforehand.

The delivery fee depends on where your zone is as well as your total order spend. It also depends on how many deliveries you are receiving a week; once or twice.
For example; If you order a 3 meal trial plan, delivery is only once a week, so you would only get charged for one drop. However if you have a larger plan, delivery may be twice a week in which case you would be charged for two drops.
In order to qualify for any of the below order size categories , total spend must be before taxes and fees.

Upbeet meals are delivered in thermal bags that are reused each week for minimized waste. Please leave your thermal bag outside on delivery days for our drivers to pick up. In the summer months, ice packs are included in each delivery and must also be returned with the thermal bags. Please note that we track all thermal bags and a small charge may be applied if they are not returned. In addition, your meals may be delivered in brown paper bags if you have more than 3 bags oustanding.
Pausing your account? Please note that your final THREE deliveries will be sent in a brown paper bag to ensure that all outstanding bags have been collected.
There are many ways to protect your meals after they have been delivered! If you will be unable to accept your delivery in person, we recommend that you leave a rubbermaid box, hook or chair at your doorstep. These strategies will reduce the chances of damage or loss while unattended.

For entrée style dishes in large aluminum trays, we suggest cooking for no more than 20 minutes at 350°C. For appetizer style dishes, such as fries or cauliflower bites, we suggest cooking for no more than 15 minutes at 350°C. Aluminum trays are safe for oven use. If any specific heating instructions are required, they will be arranged prior to the event and sent ad hoc with each order.

Absolutely! Our food tastings are complementary for those who put a deposit down for their big day.
For those who do not wish to secure the full deposit in advance, food tastings are offered for a fee of $100. However, should you decide to move forward with our catering, this fee is substracted from your final invoice!
